Email Marketing Specialist
Summary
The Email Marketing Specialist will be in charge of creating and sending email communications from
our email automation platforms. We currently use mailchimp and are migrating communications to
HubSpot.
Tasks
● Create and send a weekly email digest of upcoming events
● Create emails for special or high level events and schedule email sends
● Record scheduled email sends on Marketing calendar
Expectations
● This role should require no more than 5 hours a week
● Volunteer will report to Marketing Director
○ This includes a monthly 1 on 1 meeting (no more than 30 mins) and a monthly
marketing team meeting (30 - 60 mins)
● Will receive new tasks via email / asana; must be able to prioritize and plan work accordingly
Skills
● Needs good writing, grammar, and communication skills
● Some experience with email builder tools is a plus
● Some experience with HTML and CSS is a plus
● Needs to be able to work for 3 - 5 hours per week
Future of Role
Once budget allows, this role will be converted into a paid Marketing Automation Manager position.
At that time the current volunteer will have priority offering for the new position.
